I just read through the entirety of this, it really impressed me, both from a story standpoint, as well as execution – the pacing, framing, even the ‘invisible’ stuff like panel work felt beautifully crafted. I will say it did leave me wanting a bit more, as I wanted to see how Al adjusted, but I understand that may be a different story.

I think I’ll go check out some of the other stories, now.

Ah. Maybe that Sulla is batter copy of Al that anyone imagine.

Just finished reading through the whole thing – discovered it through a Bluesky post no more than a week ago.

It really showed up at the perfect time in my life. Not gonna get dramatic and say it saved my life or anything, but at a point where I had to agree. It doesn’t have to stay like this forever.
We have the power to change the world, and change ourselves. We just need to stop running away from what we want and why.

The panel composition & flow is phenomenal. The background colour darkening to show the emotion set into Brendan. The last panel has Lucille’s comfort of Brendan (light colours, the arch in the background), and Brendan’s grief (dark colours, the deck / balcony they’re on). Stunning

I just read this from start to finish in two days and am getting very teary over it. This is such a gorgeous story full of trans hope amidst a lot of uncertainty. I wish I had been following it since the beginning!
