Sulla is Sulla, Robot Al is Robot Al. If you replace all of an object’s parts it becomes a different object. That doesn’t stop Sulla and Robot Al from being people, as people are fundamentally a particular sort of object; it just stops them being the same person.
However, Al is right, Tsade is something else. Not a non-person, but something that is not grounded in humanity.
Aaaah…. Even to this point, Lucille has better social intelligence than everyone put into the room together. Sulla could probably get there in a few years. She is—after all—very much at her age/maturity level as far as social skills go…which is amazing as she hadn’t spent time around a lot of other people aside from Brendan and she’s not a human (though probably has the initial thought algorithm for one). Now that she can spend time with her “auntie,” she can learn so much more.
“Your family” I love it!
Its so special for kids with artificial hair getting to see how its made. Beautiful.
First update in a very long time that we were in the same house and got to read together!
It’s all coming together now.
Assemble with the Study Buddies?
You can almost hear the jarring chord in the background there. Time for a subject change!
Okay, good, they filled Brendan in. I think we’re at a point where there have been way too many secrets, so it’s time to be open.
Whatever Tsade’s intentions, there’s just too little precedent to speculate on it too much, but best of luck to them, of course.
In the meantime, best for Sulla and the rest to see what the immediate future has in store.
ah. i’m feeling what you noted will be as if you’ll be entertaining us for the full year. looking forward to this last story arc.
The grinding sound you hear is my teeth gnashing as I wait, impatient as ever, for Volume 3 to be released in print.
And please, PLEASE tell me it WILL be released in print!
