From Gimel’s “I accept the challenge!” To Al’s face and Sulla’d 8 0’clock curfew and Brendan being a cutie pie dad, this page was adorable all around.
Hmm… Is this going to be Al’s transition day? I hope we get to see what she looks like after—especially to see it help her heal.

UGH I’M SO EXCITED
I got exactly the same sense. A day off for both of them, and they gently decline her offer of assistance with a task. It’s a pretty intimate situation and Al doesn’t much like attention even under circumstances much less delicate.
I love Gimel’s smack talk. “The additional load makes it more fair.” Heh he can smoke them all too easily without extra encumbrance.
I’m loving Gimel’s agency and – sense of humour? It’s a delight.
Take care of the dads, Sulla. They need it!

What I imagine for the final panels… A square of light opens, we see the spitting image of the blue fairy poster, here made real. last panel, Al opens her eyes… (and I just quietly cry forever, nbd XD)
I can see, a little, why Sulla is nervous to go on this picnic, alone.
I guess that there’s only been a few times, when she’s left her home, without- a parent, or both of her parents.
