The first panel nails it. That feeling of verklempt-ness when someone lays a humbling amount of trust at your feet. There is nothing to say in response but, “Thank you for your trust.”

I just wanted to say as someone who originally tried to read the comic back in 2012, was unable to because at the time I hated it.

I got linked this again, just the other week by my girlfriend.

And it rang completely different, i started from the beginning, it was all the same, and couldn’t stop reading it until I caught up at 4:30 AM.

It was beautiful, I understood what was going on from the very beginning this time, seen the suffering and the pain and behaviors that I hated so so much in Al. Because I seen oh, oh so much of Al in myself.

Dysphoria.

Now I have a word for it and I want to say. Thank you, for doing this piece of work, for keeping so tender and treating it all with so much respect.

This story holds a place close to my heart now, and I am glad to be seeing it go forward into the future.
