I’m not crying at my desk, you’re crying at your desk. This comic always wrecks me in the best ways. Thank you. <3
;w; <3
They’re all such Good Kids!! (T o T)
im love them
And just like that he stood by her and outed himself with her. What a sweetheart! The group is such a wonderful bunch as well—real friends.
Quick question… Is Sulla still floating in the last panel or is there that much of a height difference between them?
Methinks she is juuuuust about to touch down in front of Titus. <3
Wow, REALLY interesting.
…although 99.9999% of the time it is indeed worse. But still, there’s a non-zero chance.
Titus in the last panel being all, “My girlfriend can effin’ FLY!”
Titus gets 10s, 10s, 10s across the board for the perfect cool-down talk of encouragement! Sulla, listen closely; that’s willing boyfriend material whispering to you!
I’m gonna grab this chance to ask a question that’s been on my mind for a while, as a non-native English speaker: are Ty and Titus really common enough name to carry a gender connotation? “Ty” looks relly like a diminutive of “Titus” (or even of “Tyler”, which is an admittedly masculine name) to me…
Titus would probably be pretty much exclusively a masculine name. Ty is more ambiguous.
Also, “Tyler,” at least in the US, has gotten to be a more unisex name.
Titus is a pretty masculine name in America.
That said, there’s a fair bit of wiggle in how you pronounce it. Enough so that my brain keeps tripping up over it being shorted to ‘Ty’ because it sounds completely different to the ‘Ti’ in ‘Titus’ in my mouth. That said, ‘Ti’ the way ‘Titus’ comes out of my mouth would be an extremely rare name in American English — I can think of only one person who went by that and she was a cult leader… soooooo…
Both of them are very masculine names in Australia.
Titus is officially one of my favorites in the story. They are just lovely.
Titus definitely hit the nail on the head. Bravo.
I do wonder about Al and Brendan. Al’s state is definitely ambiguous. Dead people don’t typically come back, particularly without a ready explanation, even if it is in a synthetic form. That’s a question that, unless I’m forgetting something, has not yet been resolved.
Even if Brendan were 100 percent sure this was the Al he knew, there’s the baggage the two had from before Al died. For him to come back into Brendan’s life and for his only current family to latch onto him as Sulla has, even calling him a parent like with Brendan, has got to be quite the jarring thing.
Still, I hope Al is alright, and I hope Brendan can accept Al’s role in Sulla’s life, even if he’s not ready to accept Al back into his own quite so easily.
AH MY HEAAAAART!
Keep on working, great job!
Just my thoughts:
Sulla, Hun,…that they asked you what was wrong, and after talking to you…they didn’t all leave in disgust- means they’re here to help. Cool down. They’re working on a solution. :)
Holy cats I’m caught up?! And now I have to wait for more?!?
Seriously though this is amazing and beautiful and I’m incoherent now.
“who is this kid, and why is he better at the reassuring parental speech than I am?”
This hit me in a good way. Beautiful.
Getting dusty in here.
I’ve been reading here for almost two years and never commented before but wow this made me cry. Just,, that level of support and openess
Does Titus have preferred pronouns that I’m forgetting or have we not seen that in the comic yet? I’ve been referring to them as “they” but realize this may be disrespectful.
I do find it interesting that one half of the pack is facing Sulla and Titus and the other half is not though. Perhaps they’ve heard this before themselves? The group seemed very accepting from what we’ve seen so far.
Also lovely page – my heart sings as I try not to cry for them. What a lovely sentiment and support.
Just wanna say pop in to say that this particular page is just… Really Good to me and I have feelings. Like the panels and word balloons flow in such a way to give his speech the weight it deserves.
Manly tears were shed today <3 Honestly it's always a pleasure to stop by.
It’s always easier when you’re not alone.
