Exactly what I thought two pages ago!
The very same attitude before and is the exact reason why Al fell in love with Brendan on Chapter 2 pages 41-45 and 55-56.
I am so excited how things will turn out this time again.
It certainly looks like Robot-Al is strong enough to break the security-snake-things. Which is actually kinda scary. Why is he so over-engineered for physical strength?
Maybe AI beings have to have some sort of strength in their limbs… since their bodies are made of metals and other synthetic materials, which would (presumably) make them much heavier than a human.
Yes, but the security-snakes should have been designed to be that strong or stronger as well. At least one potential threat that they might have to deal with is a robot or other machine going haywire, after all.
This [does] go with some people’s ideas, that this AL was secretly made by Sulla. And…if Sulla made him, then she could have made him as strong as her, so that he could protect himself, and things like that. Hm.
“You won’t hurt me. I’m not scared of you. You…are not scared of me. Tell me what’s scaring you.”
Wow!
That is a [brilliant] thing to say!
Brendan totally diffused the situation.
Very cool! Now they can try to talk, + work out some problems. I really, really like this story, Blue. :D
Dang. I adore the last two panels. Al backs up and looks alarmed, so, yup, he’s upset about SOMETHING, but he keeps his arms down and his body faced toward Brendan. So whatever’s worrying him, it ISN’T about Brendan. And Brendan reads that perfectly clearly. Wonderful!
My co-workers keep throwing stuff at me while I’m trying to read! I’m off the clock, but still.
I bet in two weeks he will still have an achy back
That last panel is some next level wholesomeness. I’ve very proud of Brendan.

I am very glad Brendan’s trying to calm Al. I do hope it works.

Yeah, that makes me wonder. *shrugs*
