Ooh, I should ask people to call me “mixter.”

Maybe I can have “Mixter of Honor” as my official title if my best friend ever gets married. I’m not so keen on “Dude of Honor” as I was when we first talked about it, but I certainly don’t want to back off to something bland like (for example) “Person of Honor.”

I don’t know. I think it serves a few purposes well: 1) It gives us a little relief from the drama in the scene from Sulla and Al; 2) It shows that Titus is in the process of coming out—at least in the company of close friends; 3) It establishes that Titus is trying to treat synthetic beings as people, too, after seeing Sulla is one.

I think that is amazing ground to cover in a few panels. It may not be super subtle, but for the sake of story-telling (this is a good break, but we don’t want to linger here too long as we want to see Al & Sulla join up with the group) it’s necessary and not a bad transition before we see the impending drama (which could take so many directions) of Al & Brandon reuniting.

And, gosh, I just love Titus and Gimel’s exchange about the pronouns. I am so in love all the various kinds of queer representation in this comic.

I’m curious: how would you have had Titus do it?

I just feel like it could have been done better?

I love the detail about honorifics- I think I told you how much I love seeing nonbinary rep in comics, and this just made me so happy!!

I really like this! I’d been pronouncing it “mx” without a vowel sound, which yeah sounds like “mix.” I like “ehm-ihx” better. thank you! :)
