Page 73. END OF CHAPTER 6.
Once again, we have reached the end of another chapter of O Human Star! I will be taking a break to do some convention prep, Meal prep, and scriptwriting, and will resume OHS updates on Monday June 11.
In the meantime, here are some events you can find me at in the next month:
Vancouver Comic Arts Festival (VanCAF) – May 19-20, Vancouver, BC
WisCon 42 – May 25-28, Madison, WI
Book Expo America – May 29-June 1, New York, NY
Thanks for sticking around for this really special chapter where we learn a bit more about everybody. Chapter ender will go up this Thursday, and next month we jump into the blue once again.
FINALLY!
Zodiac and I have been waiting years for the blue again xD It started when we left High School and now I’m graduated from my college and my twin just finished another year at hers. Lol! How time flies.
His grief is still so sharp and reads so real. You’ve done a beautiful job here.
Thanks for giving us such a wonderful chapter. We’ll wait gladly!
This chapter did an exquisite job of explaining how we got to the climax that the blue timeline left off with. Wow.
my heart
Psychologists will tell you it’s a sign of a mental issue if you are still grieving more than 6 months after a bereavement.
Fuck psychologists.
While I definitely agree with you, I think it may also be that Brendan’s grieving process was delayed or inhibited by the existence of Sullah, since there was a part of him that still thought of her as an extension of Al. It’s only now, now that he has fully come to terms with Sullah being her own unique entity, that he has also fully accepted that Al is gone and isn’t coming back, and he can finally truly grieve his loss.
Keep in mind also that he also had no way to openly grieve since he was respecting Al’s wishes to stay in the closet. That alone had to hold things up a lot (though playing parent in his private time probably didn’t give him much of a moment to let it out either).
*rolls eyes*
My por baby :'(
I want so badly for the guys to find peace with one another in the future. They deserve healing.
I felt this page. That slow breakdown into tears never gets easier. Great work, Blue!
You just made me cry in the space of one page. Congratulations. (I’m not even joking, your portrayal of his grief really got to me).
Those few words are so loaded and his emotions so poignant. So much said in just a few frames.
I just discovered this webcomic last week and did a very dramatic “Nooooooooo!” when I realized I was caught up and now I have to wait for updates along with everyone else.
Wowza, this page is painful. So good but also so sad :(
At this point, what questions remain?
Who brought Sterling back?
Why?
How did they bring Sterling back when his seemingly
only brain scan/copy Brendan did was damaged?
Who is this mysterious Tsade, and are they the person that Brendan first suspected of orchestrating Sterling’s return?
God, I’m tearing up so hard this chapter….
