P.S. This Jewish reader at least is squee-ing a bit over how well-done the background cultural research is. I don’t know whether this is true of other minority groups, but from a religious standpoint it’s really easy to become accustomed to representation being either a) absent, b) superficial, c) clumsy or full of stereotypes, and/or d) overstated gratuitously in a way that suggests wanting to preach diversity more than truly capture it. OHS is a lovely example of none of the above; like non-fictional people, the characters just happen to come from a range of backgrounds and act and think accordingly. Kudos.
Those turkeys are so fabulous they almost look like pheasants :) Reminds me of how the cemetery my dad’s buried in has a whole bunch of wild turkeys and deer that graze and poop over everything
Does your dad have flowers or a tree growing next to him? Treasure his memory, but the body comes, then it goes.
Keep in mind the turkeys and deer are meaning NO disrespect.
It’s just a little reminder that everything, and that means literally EVERYTHING, gets recycled.

Hmm… Visiting Al’s grave?
I wondered if we’d ever see Organic-Al’s grave.

Happy New Year, everyone! Something tells me this year will be a tough one. Well… let it come : together we can face it.
So many rocks on his grave. From Brendon? How often does he visit? From someone else? But who?
oh I LOVE wild city turkeys — though I guess if this is in Boston it’s a bit out of the way. Still. Good good birds.
