Thanks for hanging in there as I took a week off to work on my graphic novel. I’m doing a livestream on Wednesday (7/26) at 8 pm CST. Join me, won’t you?

so is this a new body? does he give her new bodies every few years?
I think he must make her a new one every now and then, since she can’t really grow. And a new body every 2 years or so would be a smoother upgrade than trying to upgrade her a part at a time.
yeah, that makes sense! thanks
still, that’s kinda gotta be creepy occasionally finding your own old bodies of your younger self in storage or getting re-purposed. At least somewhat unsettling.
As one that tinkers in home robotics, some of the old parts are probably partially recycled into the one being build for the next upgrade…
Can only afford to make one leg at a time, so mine will walk lopsided for a while…
has her gender solidified at this point? or is she still coming to grips?
there hasn’t been any mention of it yet. i imagine it’s something she’ll slowly come to realize over time and eventually discuss with brendan, particularly since brendan makes her new bodies (she might out herself, intentionally or otherwise, by suggesting he makes her a feminine body)
i’m rereading now and on chapter 1, page 27 brendan says “three years ago, she asked me to change her. so i did.”
i imagine she’ll start to realize before that, but she doesn’t transition until she’s a teenager.
