There’s a story in the Beyond Anthology of Queer Science Fiction where we see Sula choosing her name, so it was something different at this point. I think the scene cut here was to avoid ever having to say it in the comic, since it’s not necessary and would be in bad form.

Sulla the general (whom Titus thought was the reference for Sulla’s given name) was a man, so it’s possible that was already her childhood name and she didn’t change name at all (unless it’s been said in the comic that she chose this one and I forgot about that?). If not, I don’t think we’ll ever know it; we don’t need to and in real life it’s bad practice to ask/talk about trans people’s dead name :p

Well, it was mentioned the Sulla only expressed her preference three years before Alastair “wakes up”, so that’s obviously still quite some way in the future…

Brendan thinks that rebooted Al is male. Sulla hasn’t made herself clear on the matter yet. She probably is emotionally/mentally 6 or so right now.

A possible quasi-honest response to the question about his age:

“The exact date of birth is a little fuzzy, but as you can see from the drawing, he seems to be about six or so.”
