I often see “whoa” spelled as “woah” and while it will probably evolve as an accepted spelling I… don’t… like it

“All right” is considered the correct spelling at this time. However, words like “altogether” and “always” originally started as “all together” and “all ways”, so there’s enough precedent for “alright” to enter the language once enough of those resisting it have died off.

And yes, “whoa” is still the accepted spelling of the the command you give horses to make them stop. “Woe” is a completely different word meaning “sorrow.” Not sure what other spellings you may have in mind. 8-)

(also, I always write hooooray! with too many oo's because 'hooray' has just never looked right, so I usually can't bring myself to use the standard spelling. Not the same thing, but… *shrugs*. ymmv indeed)

(And to all the Brendan White Knights oreparing to crucify me, I’m hard on Brendan because I’ve done the same shit, and hate myself for being so cutting later.)

We’ve definitely seen very little of Al’s feelings towards Brendan involving all this. I’m sure it hurt hearing that, but for the way he’s reacting, you’d think there’d have been more weight and conversations then what we’ve seen leading to this kind of momentous (as in ‘momentum’) reacting.
