Well, anyone up for a good soul-wrenching weep in the corner?
“dude i don’t have a mouth”
This comment shouldn’t have made me laugh as hard as it did dangit.
I was thinking the same thing exactly. How would Sulla even be able to speak without vocal cords? For that matter, how can she move so well given she has Al’s procedural memories? Wouldn’t learning how to use a robot body use a different “neural” process than a human one? They must have developed some kind of amazing sensors on that body, too, so she knows how much pressure to put on things.
It is so sad she even remembers to put on Al’s gloves, but can’t talk! Is Brendan holding her hand?
I think he took Als glove off of her. It’s such a poignant way to show Brendans realization that this isn’t the Al he’s known and loved.
“… I can type it for you?”
Am I the only one who loves how it looks like the thing is stuck to her chest with tape?”
Well, nothing left but a robot assistant, and REGRETS.
This is just so damn … sad. This scenes have been so intense that i almost forgot that Al had just gotten out of the car and fled into the woods. I shall blame this comic for my anxiety. I just love it but it makes me have too much emotions for my hard cold heart.
Had fun at the stream! Googly eyes Cage was iconic and now i have a new podcast to listen too
I just noticed that it’s been about 4 years for us in this comic, but about 3 days for them inside the story. Like, the actual story. Not these beautiful side stories where we’ve been learning those two dork’s sad love life but the actual main plot. 4 years and we still have absolutely no answers about Al… damn…
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be crying over here T_T
Technically, the last thing it heard you say (before that question) was “How do you activate the dancer?” (See previous page.) So its answer was as correct and complete as it could be without having a mouth to speak with. You didn’t ask “What’s the last thing you heard me say before you passed out and woke up in this metal body?”, and even if you had, how would it answer?
I was going to just comment once a chapter, but this scene–last two panels especially–just broke my heart. So poignant. So beautiful. Thank you.
