Well, in Brendan’s defense, reviving your dead lover never looks pretty…
Sulla 0.0
Wow… Sulla! What a way to be born!
At least your kickstarter was succesfull too – I’ve got the proof on my shelf!
At first I mistook the “snap” for demolition, but then I saw that Brendan was painstakingly trying to revive single broken machinery with the original components.
Why is he so good working with things and so bad building up relationships?
We really only have this one relationship to judge his skills though. I have a feeling this wasn’t his first one. Either way, it failed due to both of them not giving enough: Al not giving enough of himself (and being too fearful to do so), and Brendan not giving enough patience.
The steps in the background of the last panel are still bloody. Brendan isn’t messing around – Al needs to be back NOW.
I think it’s more that he has to know if it worked or not.
Oh, I do NOT have a good feeling about this.
The cast page wasn’t kidding when it said that Sulla was born the day after Al died.
I completely forgot about that.
Damn, my feelings hurt.
Grief-inspired brilliance.
But not just Sulla was born. Maybe every robot after this has some aspect of Al’s mind recording running it? Maybe this is why every robot recognizes him?
Love the little details, Blue! Aleph-01 on the note… and Al’s blood on the stairs :(
Aleph-01; Golem reference? Maybe IDGI…
Ugh – I’m getting Frankenstein vibes from this. But I’m exceedingy fond of the fact tht the whole comment section is seeing the positive that came out of this – Sulla.
He needs to bring Al back. He needs to know he can really do this without Al, too.
It’s Proto-Sulla. :) (Retroactive model name.)
