I love all the amazing tiny details on this comic, until today I noticed the two colors (past and future ) on Al’s swiss (blade? Gift from Brendan? Im sorry, I don’t remember the right word and english is not my first language). Its a gift from Brendan and a Link to the past ;)
I’d never heard of this story so I didn’t get this at first, but I watched the Chuck Jones animated version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq0a5JTSGvU ) so I feel in the loop now. I think it’s perfect and you win all the awards.
Your comic is so beautifully forward thinking, I almost dare to hope that we are getting to see a future where such labels of sexual identity are obsolete and everyone can just … *love*…
That it isn’t even an issue that someone “is” anything except wonderful <3
Does Al see the smaller robots as children? I don’t think I can remember him once talking to or treating them as ‘things’. I know kids just love some adults on sight, I was curious how the smaller robots perceive Al, do they see him as a father figure or some kind of earthbound deity that walks among them? Al never seems to mind their presence.
OH MY GOD, GO SIT IN A CORNER AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU’VE DONE.
“The Bear That Wasn’t” was one of my favorite books when I was tiny.
I like the little robot awake by Al. They’re like worshippers or something.

Swiss Army Knife. :)
Haha great title.

What a clever animation! Hm, if Al is the bear, who is the foreman…?
And I still don’t quite understand – what’s the pun about? I tried variations on “bear,” like “bare,” but none seem to make sense. Paint me dense!
“Bear” is also a term used in the gay community for older/bigger gay men.
And hairy.
Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had no hair… Is fuzzy wuzzy a bear?
Well, the original rhyme ends with: Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t fuzzy, was he? Was he bare? ;)

That is a very, very poignant title.
