And I’m worried about Al’s safety now, as there’s just a thin, thin line between idolizing and *demonizing*, and both are equally dehumanizing. The robotic crowd, who have held Al in a high (almost sacred) regard for such a long time, may readily turn against him once they found out that this “god” in fact doesn’t want to be there for them.
On another note, needless to say that the return of mysterious ballerina is exciting!
Upon re-reading (for nth time I confess), I noticed an interesting echo of the “all of us” comment, right in the page that Blue provided up there.
It seems that collectivism is strong in the robotic community, isn’t it? I’m curious as to its origin: ostracism from the human society creates unity? (though we haven’t seen any direct hostility from human towards synthetic beings as yet)
But also maybe there’s some of the whole, “roboticists are the most afraid of sentient robots” stuff from waaaaaay back and it’s just come to fruition for Al
Oooh are we going to get answers on who revived Al??? I’m excited!
*screaming repeatedly*
One page per week and this level of suspense is making me twitchy… Great story line!
I know! But if you’ve checked out Patreon, it says we can get two updates a week if the monthly patronage is $950.At the moment it is $820.
Hahahah! It’s totally an introvert forced to go to a party situation. :)
What’s the phrase? Idolizing is just as dehumanizing as dismissing.

I think what he means to say is that he never wanted to be the Mecha Messiah, which is how they seem to be treating him.
So much time has passed and we may finally be getting closer to some answers!

See? He didn’t want this.

Wait, this is Al’s 3rd day back.
“You have returned”
I’m not saying he’s robot Jesus, but I’ not saying he’s NOT roboJesus
