Page 73. Looking forward to it.
Seattle, I will be returning to you for GeekGirlCon this weekend, and will be at table 406! I’m actually traveling most of this week, so I need to take next Monday off and will post the next page on 10/19. In the meantime check out the Extras page, which I’ve recently updated with more amazing fanart!
I thought it was funny how Al only asked one person if she wanted to see and yet everyone pops forward to look XD
Finally! Al is making friends.
al still doesn’t know about all this, but he’s trying… i’m proud
and so is brendan!
pared-down emulator…
it’s. getting into v disturbing implications about who counts as a person here :(
Bit of a non sequitur, but I’m getting echoes of “What counts as gay/les/etc…?”
But anyway, I read that as this: they can’t have a full-on human emulation because the motor control would be off.
oh my god brendan is so adorable here it’s too sweet aaa
Al’s expression in panel 4 = I’m not sure if our implicit disdain for each other allows me to except that proposal.
Their dislike for each other confuses me.Lucille seems to see Al as abrasive and that makes sence but the way Al behaves here looks like he needs to prove himself like he’s jelous of her for some reason.
Well yeah, she has a very important part in Brendan’s life. She’s a true, good, friend, whose personality seems to be a perfect match for him. On the other hand, Al is a bear: silent and lonesome. With maaaaybe a dash of “I don’t deserve him” complex. Even if he’s perfectly aware Bren won’t ever chase the skirts, Lucille is still Bren’s bestie, a very special someone for him. The only very special someone Al has, it’s Bren.
I thought Brendan was bi? If that is the case, it really blurs what is and isn’t a “platonic friendship” and can be why Al is jealous (though unjustifiable so). Been in that position myself. It’s annoying. Sexually compatible gender – can’t friends just be seen as friends?
Al is bi and closeted. Brendan is as gay as a three dollar bill, and his relationship with Lucille is 100% platonic. Al’s jealousy of Lucille and Brendan says a lot more about him that it does about them.
Oooh, I’m happy to learn that, I thought the opposite!
Oof… This all went so much better than I expected.
Brendan can’t believe what just happened.
A glimmer of detente? We live in hope…
And this is what happens when your motives are honest and you lay your cards on the table, versus constantly avoiding awkward questions about your morality.
