Page 70. Al’s the kind of person who will get dragged to a party and then only socialize with the cat.
Next two pages will go up on Monday afternoon/evening since I will be returning from conventions on both those days! Come see me at the Small Press Expo this weekend in Bethesda, MD and vote for O Human Star as Outstanding Online Comic in the Ignatz Awards!
CALLED IT! I knew he’d be talking to her! Very cute.
In class with Zodiac and she alerts me from the desk next to me that the update was up and my heart was beating so wildly as I typed it into a search box and Zodiac said it was so cute. I knew he’d be talking to her! Absolutely knew it and loved it!
Oh my God, it looks like Brendan is peaking under the speech bubble.
Uncle Al… there had to be a comfort zone for him somewhere.
Who’d of thought that Al was good with kids?
Quiet, thoughtful kid? Assuming that’s what Jimena is like – she seems like that, ‘good listener’ and all.
Also, possible glitch in the comment system – I’m being offered the opportunity to edit or request deletion for the comment I’m replying to, which I assume shouldn’t be there? I’ve never seen it before…
Jeez, Jimena
Well now I want Jimena to be one of the people at the robot square in the “present”.
There it is, the cutest page ever.
Will you have copies of the new book at SPX? :D
Yes!
now i’m curious if jimena pops up several years later…
…what is she drawing anyway?
at least jimena doesn’t retain that same Bitter Beer Face™ she had upon her original introduction!
Ahh love this comic so much, thanks for the upload! Really hope this gets published into a non-digital format one day, would love to own it
Check out the online store on the menu below the logo – I have good news for you.
Well, yeah. The cat is fluffy and way more entertaining to talk to to then most people at a party
or the dog or the parrot…
Hm. [That] I didn’t expect.
It looks like AL isn’t totally against talking to near-strangers, or even to kids that he hardly knows, but he, seemingly, prefers to talk to them one-on-one.
That’s kind of like my personality. It takes me a long while to warm up to a new group of people even if I interact with them daily: I can function, but the uneasiness and the distance shows. However, one-on-one I’m much more in element and can (not always, but sometimes) strike up a conversation with a stranger. Al’s doing pretty much what I’d do in a party. :p
As one of those kids(or cats) those Al types talked to at parties the sheer amount I learned from them and how it shaped my growth…. I…I can’t put it in words… The cat is the best socializing partner at parties *nodnod*
