I wonder what would happen if a synthetic being like Al or Sulla eat normal food. I thought they just would have to use the toilet, as Sulla said here http://ohumanstar.com/chapter-3-page-9/
Lovely page, by the way, I adore seeing characters eating and talking about food <3 Also nice to see that Brendan and Al seem a bit more relaxed around each other.
I’m loving the comic, just blasted through it all. Although I have to say… I’m reading it in the Minneapolis Library on my break from working in the Foshay Tower. I can’t even tell you about all the balls I’m trippin’.
I love you Al, but oh my god, talking that way about something the kitchen staff made special for you, shut your mouth. You’ve been a tech plutocrat for less than a week and already you’re turning into Peter Shih. This might make me a crazy person, but I have IRL spat on people’s food when working as waitstaff after overhearing rich restaurant customers disrespect the cooks like this, and Gimel isn’t even some unconnected pro chef, he’s someone who loves and missed Al and is trying to do something nice for him. Ugh. :C Al my friend you’d better apologize really, really sincerely for this.
Really loving this comic. Absolutely stunning job. Alistair is an incredibly interesting protagonist and the character relations and interactions are spot on for great drama and storytelling.
Are the faint blue circuit lines on Al’s hand in panel four visible to the human eye? I thought Al and Sulla could pass visibly for human except to robot senses.
Sigh… Our bodies seem kind of flawed when you think about how dependent it is on the pancreas and insulin to absorb such quick energy into the cells for usage. But then again, I think that is also a way for cells to be controlled compared to cancer cells.
Brendan, you flirt. And we love you for it.

They’re so domestic! It’s rotting my teeth~
I love Brendan’s smile in panel 3…and in panel 5.
Man, Al has to realized that little kids would kill to have that type of body. One were you only eat sugar.

ANyways, looking forward to the next page!
As a fellow Metropolitan, I have to agree! It’s always fantastic to see stuff with local settings.
Domestic bliss!!! All my feels for them!!!!

I thought the same thing. >:C Don’t be an ungrateful butt, AL.
I think you’re being too hard. Imagine how would feel never ever again being able to eat *any* of your favorite foods. I’d go crazy in three weeks.
To be fair, he hasn’t been nice or grateful to pretty much anyone in the entire world yet, even Brendan, who we can safely assume he likes.

It’s just a breakfast scene. It’s just a breakfast scene.
My dear Blue…
HOW DO YOU PACK SO MUCH FEELS INTO A FREAKIN’ BREAKFAST SCENE!!?!?!?!
*Head explodes*
Found OHS just yesterday, only up to Ch2-p11 so far; sub’d the RSS, and appreciating the story and the art!
Happy, relaxing moments. We need more of them. :)

I think it’s because he fucked with his hand earlier. It looked normal until then.
If he can eat syrup and lemon slices, he can probably continue to eat sriracha. That stuff’s mainly corn syrup, sugar, and chili pepper anyway.
Unless he eats it in spoonfuls he wouldn’t have anything to put it on D: I don’t think a block of processed sugar would taste good with sriracha, ew!
