And O Human Star returns today with a new flashback! Al’s scraping the bare minimum of cocktail attire here.
Thank you very much for your patience as I took a week off from updates. I was able to make progress on some very big projects that I plan to talk more about soon.
And for new followers, check out my Patreon, where I post exclusive drawings and sketchbooks every month. I have decided that if I hit at least $400 in pledges this month, I will donate all of it to The Bridge for Youth, a non-profit that provides emergency services and housing to Twin Cities teens with special programs for LGBTQ kids. They’re in the neighborhood and I’ve seen the good that they do.
The more I read, the more I’m convinced that this relationship was doomed from the start.
But I guess that why I love this so much.
Maybe it is Al who is doomed? He carries the seeds of his own destruction within his heart. He doesn’t think he has any right to be happy because he is flawed.
Read this on the bus and my boyfriend thought I was crazy, I was smiling so much! Too cute!
Takin’ a bit of a gamble there, Pinksy!
OMG!!! I read this during lunch and my Ramen go all over cause I was laughing so hard XD Hey Zodiac, saw you read it also!
is it disturbing that best case scenario might be that al got murdered for this relationship? …
If someone came along and offered me the chance to change the world, I suspect his sexual orientation would be the least of my worries. OK, unless he was huge and dressed in leather and had lots of piercings and stuff. But after “upload memories into robot brains,” I’d probably ignore it. I’m thinking Al is his own persecutor here; he has issues we don’t know about yet.
Wow. Doors open and Lucille is the only woman and POC who isn’t a uniformed servant. A+++ setting a creepy scene.
HOLY SMACK! I hadn’t noticed that. :O Great catch. Also, I can’t wait to see what this situation does to Al’s frayed thoughts.
It certainly explains why, even in this future, Al is still in the closet. If the same ol’ institutionalized prejudices are in play here, I’m sure he’d still be concerned about homophobia… Especially how it tends to be alive and well in many CURRENT tech circles.
