Page 27. Brendan’s starting to reconsider just how badly he wants those questions answered.
There’s gonna be a scene change on next week’s page! I know this has been kind of a slow-paced scene, so I appreciate you sticking with me while I’m on a once-a-week schedule.
Oh what a tease. I thought we were actually gonna learn some stuff. =P Well Played, I guess.
No prob, Blue. Keep it up. This is beautiful stuff. Also liked the recent piece on veterans and fireworks.
Cheers
Aaaah you tease! Well, I think we are going to be able to see that picture a little better in the next page? Maybe? Who knows???
Tease? Or foreplay?
Hmm, now that you see it this way…
Well, we’ve learned that Brendan was apprehensive about the call, and is slightly relieved to put it off. Then he looks at a snap of Old Al and a scan of New Al, and then up to heaven. You can just see the gears turning. Al’s back; just thank Ghod and go forward together again, or dig for answers and perhaps lose this new happiness?
I think Brendan can think of someone capable enough to have done this, and can’t think of anyone else. Lucille didn’t do it, so? But he won’t find out today, and that means another wondering day of Al’s presence. They have barely touched each other. There is still fear. But there is love, however broken and rusted and shut away.
“Be true; you need not fail. There is also love in the world.”
…..or maybe the fact that Al is around makes things more complicated with this mystery person?
I mean, Al has been dead for years. People move on….. and that would make things EXTREMELY complicated if the person that resurrected someone he loved was another old flame…..
I’ve been reading webcomics for about 10 years now and I just wanted to let you know that this one is by far the most captivating and warm one I’ve ever read as it is released. The pacing of the pages has been tough, but I think we all understand! Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
I love that even the schematic of Al’s frame has his nose and chin. That is a nice job of design.
That’s what it is: The past photos of Alastair look like Captain Haddock, from Tintin [TM], to me. That’s cool!
Ha, that’s great. He does look like the captain, and they are similar. Big tough guys who hurt inside. BTW you can type the trademark sign by holding down alt and typing 0153 ™.
Cool! Thanks Scrod. :)
