Transhumanist on the “robot trying to fit in” angle, ala Pinocchio, Frankenstein, etc.

The non-human wishing to be regarded as human, a story as old as… well, it’s damn old and goes all the way back to stories of fae leaving changelings, deeply rooted int he “uncanny valley” syndrome and “othering of races” problem we primates have.

But yes, it’s a //excellent// analog for transgenderism.

I understand that he still hasn’t made that journey himself, but I’m so worried about Sulla… =/ I hope things get better for them soon.

Yeah because its totally not a huge Transgender analogy at all.

I’ve heard that happen to a couple people since I transferred the site – emptying your browser’s cache may fix the problem.

Just a tech heads-up, lately the front page hasn’t displayed the latest comic. Or if it does, it only stays there the first time I view it. When I come back, the previous comic is back on the front page. As of right now, the only way I can see the latest comic is by going to the Archive. Not a big deal, but I thought you should know if you weren’t aware of it.

Cool – I’d never seen that. Yeah. It’s time this bulb sprouted and bloomed.

YES please. I got to see them briefly when catching up, but it would be nice to have them here somewhere.

I keep wondering how crazy they are to risk the elements like that. I’m the type who prefers a room temperature of 77 F and who bundles up if the temperature drops below 70.

Perhaps Sulla wouldn’t necessarily look unusual for not bundling up, but this way she doesn’t look crazy either.
