At first the about-face from ‘it’s binary’ to ‘no it’s not’ seemed a little awkward, but then I realized something really cool:
Even if people assume otherwise, minds aren’t binary and neither are the things they hold, like gender!
Fun fact. Actually a completely mindblowing fact I keep coming back to in any and every circumstance.
The human brain is the most complex machine in the entire known universe, second only to the universe itself.
It has, for practical purposes, infinite moving parts. Now I know that technical specificity isn’t really the point of the story, but it’s fun to imagine Al and Brendan found a way to “emulate” these brains. In a machine smaller than a head, even. It makes them easily the greatest inventors in the history of our species.
