Page 19. Getting along.
I am going to be at Stumptown Comics Fest in Portland, OR this weekend! In fact, I’m getting on the plane in just a few hours. That means no Monday update, and a delay on moderating and reviewing comments. But, hey, Portland readers, come out and say hi!
I would be surprised if she did have close friends
Why not? She seems really outgoing, friendly and fun and has the amazing power of flight. She is also very cute and interesting. The only thing I could see getting in the way is Brendan being an over-protective parent, but he seems to let her run around on her own for errands so I can’t imagine him keeping her locked away from other kids—human-born or AI.
Well, she was built upon Al’s personality, wasn’t she ? I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a reserved , shy side, and all this friendliness was reserved only for people she trusted.
Well she doesn’t go to school for starters. I’m not saying for sure she does have them but anything come happen in a drama story.
D’awwww! And now for the heart-wrenching revelation.
I just popped over here from the young protectors and read through all the archives, and I gotta say I WANT MORE. This is lovely and so deep, and your drawing style is very cool and relaxed. I love it very much. You got a new stalker…uh, I mean fan.
“Cramp your style” Totally a grandpa.
well-played, Blue.
(well-played.)
I’m kind of expecting her to look down and admit that she doesn’t have friends in the next page for some reason.
Maybe humans ostracize people that aren’t exactly the same as them?
The future may not be so different.
I think we’ve only seen one human so far (in the future) though, so I think I may be completely off.
I agree, I would be surprised if she has friends and she may also be a loner like Al…
She seems outgoing enough, but remember, she’s homeschooled and probably doesn’t have much in common with typical kids her age…
Even if she does have friends, she would much rather spend time with the one and only Al Sterling.
What makes me wonder about this page is that “cramping your style” might be an incredibly old-fashioned slang then.
LOL. I’m sure it’s there because the one saying it was born in the early ’60s.
methinks think al’s gonna go sleuthin’ or “proddin’ around” some place
Thank you for coming to stumptown comic fest! I had such a great time and I hope to see you in Portland again :)
