I believe her sculpture is powered by the magnetic platform. It’s probably a loose sort of metal, maybe a viscous semi solid metal? As for perpetual, as long as the platform doesn’t somehow lose its magnetic properties
Well, for the sculpture to cycle through each of its possible permutations would take 37 times longer than the expected lifespan of the universe… so, yeah…
Say something like: “he gives me FULFILLMENT.” Also I’m so sad, their relationship is gonna fall apart because of Al’s closeted self, and then everything will be sad and I will cry.
i guess even an old man like al can still be immature
the way he resolutely stalks off, with his free hand bawled into a tight fist: like an impetuous kid who can’t get his way, but still wants what he wants now, regardless.

I JUST STARTED READING TODAY OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING I’VE READ ALL WEEK IT SERIOUSLY MADE MY DAY BRENDAN AND AL ARE SUCH FUN CHARACTERS I LOVE WATCHING THEM INTERACT
I read this story for some time and I must say that I’m totally mesmerised by it. The creations of characters as well as drawings and emotions you portray in it are just outstanding. I wait for each page with anticipation and it never cease to amaze me how much feelings you put there. I just love your work.
Feels bad. As readers, we know Al is a living mess of frustrations due to (spoilers) that he can’t even acknowledge to himself yet and it’s easy to understand his whole. . .attitude. But then you see a neutral character’s perspective and realize they just see a hyuuuge jerk who jerks at, like, a professional level. He probably doesn’t even understand how much it’s costing him, how much he’s not able to accomplish of the things he wants to do because nobody can actually stand being near him. Because they won’t even tell him to his face.
Readers! Start your commentary engines! This is going to be very predictable!
(“This” as in the comments)
Nonsense!
Is her art powered by something, or is there actually perpetual motion in the OHS-verse?

Wait, how’d you calculate that?

Let’s ask her to repeat that in a decade or so when Brendan’s the CEO of Stirling! “Your career deserves better” indeed… Hah!
i can’t wait to hear brendan’s response to lucille
he probably won’t go the “expected” route
anyway, as much as i might love bara, i don’t love unresolvable dysfunction – which is obviously at the core of bren’s and al’s. . . . .relationship
wouldn’t it be a kick if brendan had poisoned al?
i mean, it’s possible.
right?
NEVERRRRRRRRR!!!!
no but seriously, it’s been stated that they were both planning on brendan bringing al back, so probably not poison?

Aaand, the feeling’s mutual. I wonder how she’ll react when she meets Al now

Loving the series so far. I can see myself a little in both Al and Brendan. Still think Al is my favorite of the two, though.
One minor artistic quibble, the audience looks a bit like billowing smoke to me, rather than a collection of people…
