now i’m wondering if alastair had ever felt any professional jealousy towards brendan?
or perhaps that look on his face (one which was not quite appropriate to be captured in a picture that is to be seen by Public’s Eye {including brendan’s}) only reflected alastair’s regret that he is too afeared to stand next to the man (who is currently at 24?) with whom he shares a bed and, presumably, a portion of his heart?
´funny how that works, i think: because i know there are very-confident heterosexual dudes who have no problems being seen in quite-close proximity to one another, in public — ´being seen in public Doing Things, as a matter of fact, that some might consider “Queer,” without ever batting an eye, or suckling each others’ cock.
?
but al can’t even countenance posing next to bren-bren like a statue of a deer that was Caught In Headlights: which may be “better,” technically speaking, than never standing next to his little lover boy at all.
on another note, i’m glad brendan is comfortable around black people, and that apparently these specific two are, in some way, major players in (if not actually in charge of) this AI Con 2002.
finally: so the “perspective” has finally switched back to Alastair’s, in the title logo! i was looking for that for a while now!
can anyone tell me if that star, under Al, was previously blackened out?
because i see there are three stars—one under each of the main characters—but i didn’t note if any of these stars were lit up, in correspondence with whosever’s perspective through which their story was being told.
maybe blue will consider taking that into consideration in the future: that certainly would be a nice touch, switching those stars off and on according to whom the focus is on, of a given moment.
thank you, shoy, for taking up the trouble of finding blue’s file for me!
Yay, we’re back in blue! I have really loved every page of the flashback (and I’m sure will continue to do so) but the more I read of the past the more invested I am in these guys interacting and maybe resolving some things in the present.
I really love that photo of AI-Con, there. It neatly captures Al’s wallflower/no-no-we’re-just-friends state at public gatherings, and you can see that he minds, even though it’s probably his own fault that he’s not right there next to Brendan. And I also love that the lady beside Brendan looks like she has (at least) a prosthetic/robotic arm.
Happy Christmas Blue, and thanks again for sharing this story.
Oh! I only just noticed that, judging from the date on it, that star trophy looks like some sort of memorial prize. Gosh, all these poignant little details.
Everythings Blue…da ba de da ba di, I mean it’s blue in his point of view.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for all you do!
Merry Christmas (or whatever) Blue!
Have a very happy holiday, Blue! Thank you for sharing this story with us every Monday and Thursday – they are always highlights of the week for me :)

Nope, the stars remain the same in each banner. You can see so here. Hopefully that link worked.
:-D

are they celebrating Hanukkah is Brendan Jewish what
it appears that brendan is jewish, and is thus celebrating hannukah with his daughter.
FINALLY THEY’LL GET MORE INTERACTION! Also I love the nods to the convention and the Hanukkah and all that.
Naw, the clay robot is just too cute.
Also, happy belated brithday, Blue! Was my birthday too, I feel kind of special now…
I love it. *sniff* I love how it never drags to the point. And I love the art in the same time. It’s a miracle! Merry christmas too!

At first I was like, nooo, time shift! But I DO miss this timeline. Have a good holiday, Blue!
