Well, keep in mind, we’re not exactly seeing Brendan at his best in the blue-segments. After all, his dead best friend and lover just reappeared without warning on his lawn. After sixteen years. As a robot. After a failed resurrection attempt. And it’s been implied that they weren’t on the best of terms when Al died … Brendan’s under a lot of stress right now, too. I’m looking forward to seeing him later in the comic, once he relaxes a little.

Just read through, this looks awesome. I’m super excited to keep reading and see what’s in store. I love the characters, though Brendan seems like he’s gotten a bit crankier through the years, huh (still quite enamored).

The repitition of the very same pose to show the lineage is absolutely awesome. I sat there feeling like I was suffering from a bad case of dejavu until I realised what I was looking at. Well done.
