So Sulla is essentially a clone—which is technically just a twin—and they can have very different personalities (and even some physical differences) from each other. Even identical ones do.
Can clones really be considered the same as twins? You’re right – someone can definitely have a personality and physical traits that distinguish them from their twin – even if they’re “identical” – but can you say that about someone who’s body and mind has been flawlessly copied from someone else? Arguably, the only differences that emerge in those two individuals come from different opportunities and experiences.
That’s all I’ll say about it. (gets off the author stump)
Came over from Ben Fleuter’s DERELICT at his recommendation. Read through the archive. I am going through the story agin because it is such a “dense” story.
With that in mind, the irony of the first three panels is awesome! Brendan and Al with their professional and personal history. The mystery of who finally recreated Mr. Sterling. And there’s Sulla. Getting ready to do as Dad told her. Messing with the gimel. So good.
(And the ability to spellcheck and edit the comments. Top notch.)
EXACTLY!
Why, she’s just the same as you! Plus she’s young, female, & able to fly…
Oh, and of course she doesn’t remember ever being you. Has none of the memories that make up your history.
How are we gonna tell you apart?
All I want to say is this is a banger plot twist and it geninuely took me off guard. Been a really long time since I was caught off guard by something I was reading (maybe 3 months) and you’re a talented writer
Just in case you think no one is reading, wanted to let you know i came across your comic via inkoutbreak, and so far, it’s great. keep it up!
This page is hilarious. Fantastic work on facial expressions, as always.

^ Except she’s made of artificial means versus typical DNA, flesh and bones. So it’s like she’s a girl twin of Al, and she has super powers. :)

Very different than cloning (at least how we do it today) and twin genetics. Awesome! :)
“Arguably, the only differences that emerge in those two individuals come from different opportunities and experiences.”
Clever foreshadowing here.
It looks as if Al is saying on the last panel ‘WTF were you thinking’.
life lesson: it can ALWAYS get more awkward.

She’s EXACTLY like you, except for being, like, a girl and all….
