Page 25. Lucille’s got a cool look going on nowadays.
A few notes: I have put a new mini print up for sale in the OHS store, and both prints are discounted, so now’s a good chance to grab both of them at once.
Secondly, I’m working on the first Patreon-exclusive sketchbook and it’ll be ready in early July. So keep an eye on my Patreon page!
Lucille could have a realistic set of prostheses, made of the stuff she is talking about. But she was born this way and prefers a more abstract look.
Is that a Dresden Codak cyborg pride tattoo I see on her arm?
PS: I LOVE this comic and encourage all my friends to read it. Keep it up!
Wait, last time we saw Lucille, she was short one natural arm. now she’s had all four limbs replaced? Was this elective, or is she the unluckiest person ever? If voluntary, that’s kind of messed up. Cyberpunk min-maxing aside, that sort of body modification’s pretty drastic.
Lucille has two prosthetic legs and a prosthetic left arm, and has had them since we first saw her in Chapter 3. Her right arm is tattooed. She’s the CEO of a company that makes limbs almost indistinguishable from the real things, but that’s not what she chooses to wear. More on that later.
Blue, ever read the old classic short story “No Woman Born” by CL Moore? It’s the first cyborg story, or at least the first one that was art.
My bad, I’d totally forgotten about the legs at the con. Which is surprising, given the cool design.
She shows off a set of leg prostheses (that she’s wearin’) to Brendan during AICon 2002 :) http://ohumanstar.com/chapter-3-page-16/
Also, I have to say that Lucille’s aged remarkably well!
Still as darling as ever. And it’s sweet that Brendan crosses his fingers like that when he’s worried. Nice touch!
IT… BELATEDLY OCCURS TO ME THAT THE ‘HIM’ THEY ARE REFERRING TO IS PROBABLY TSADE
ie Mr Black Icon, who very thoroughly shuts down all of Brendan’s accusations.
hhhhmmmmmmm
