Page 20. New kids.
So you may have noticed I skipped an update day. I hate to do that, but I had a huge stack of freelance work waiting for me when I got back from Stumptown, and I had to take a little extra time to finish this page. Hopefully TCAF won’t be a repeat of that. But anyway, Stumptown was fantastic, and thanks to everyone who came out to see me there!

Hm, I wonder if Sulla’s anxiety toward talking with other kids came from Brendan. Brendan always seemed to be a loner at those conventions when he was still human.

I cannot stress how much I am really loving this comic! There’s just so many good topics dealt with in the story, and such a wide variety of characters that aren’t too outlandish. I can really relate with Sulla’s social anxiety here. I like her character all the more now.
The girl with the helmet is cute. Wondering if Sulla knows her and/or if she’s going to be a new character?

So I see this is a strange alternate future where hydrogen storage technology developed more quickly than battery technology. Or where Toyota took over the world and imposed their belief that hydrogen vehicles are a reasonable technology given the alternatives upon everybody.
